Public Relations in the New Media World In the 21st century new media world, nonprofits have many PR options beyond the classic press release. Simple digital conversations among peers can capture a higher Google ranking than a mainstream media publication. It’s less about managing information flow and pushing content – and more about creating content, networking and engagement. The digital age makes it faster, free, highly accessible and more effective for a nonprofit. This free workshop, led by corporate and nonprofit PR and fundraising consultant David Berkus, will identify new ways to effectively get the message out – with credibility to many targets and with ease and consistency.

The ABC’s of Digital Fundraising Online fundraising is often more cost-effective than direct mail and events, and donors increasingly say they prefer to donate online. This free workshop led by digital fundraising consultant Arlene Zeichner will help nonprofits learn how to use e-mail, websites, social media (especially Facebook) and Google’s free AdWords to reach current and potential donors.  Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops for this hands-on workshop.
